I’d like to recommend a wonderful piano teacher serving our community. She has been teaching my daughter for the past year. She is great with kids and has a patient, creative approach to teaching music. She will teach in your home or at her Redwood City studio. I have two other kids, so she has been very good at working with us when we had a few chaotic days. My daughter loves her class and even is enjoying practice time because teacher Melissa comes up with creative, fun, sparkly ways of getting her to practice without tears… Melissa also held a beautiful recital in the Spring that was super family friendly and fun. The kids glowed on stage and felt happy. The kids are learning to love music and make it part of their life! Melissa also offers short lessons for younger kids that clearly can NOT sit for 45 mins.... Please consider Melissa Smith for piano lessons.

I just wanted to tell you and Melissa how much we are enjoying Christmas on the Keys. It is my favorite Christmas CD this year. It is just right, not overdone, just beautiful songs and carols played in an artistic, sensitive, and feeling way. We play it every night during dinner and it gives a very nice atmosphere. I always wait expectantly for the very end, with Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, my favorite. Thanks so much!
